Tourism Grants are available to help cover facility rental fees through Discover Lake County

$2,500 per day includes:

• Site Supervisor (1)
  

• One (1) Merchandise or Vendor Booths (tent, tables, and 2 chairs)
  

• One (1) tent behind each home plate (tent, tables, and 2 chairs)
  

• Hospitality Suite including one meal per day, snacks, and water (max. 5 people)
  

• Fields will be spun and lined between all games
  

• Batters boxes and pitching areas will be packed between all games
  

• Dugout Water Coolers with Ice (1 per dugout)
  

• Janitorial services (trash, restrooms)
  

• Flag Ceremony/Anthem each morning before the first game

• Rain Prep and Field Conditioner to manage rain conditions

On the Fields

No hitting in the grass areas. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Soft toss

• Coaches hitting to outfielders

No hitting into the foul line fences

• Use the back of the bullpens as a hitting station

• Use the cages during designated cage time

Do not hang anything on any of the field netting (backstop or outfield netting). This includes, but is not limited to:

• Water coolers/water bottles

• Gamechanger cameras

• Training video equipment

• Ball bags/backpacks

• Stretch or therapy bands

No live stream of games is permitted without the express written permission in your contract. We have a relationship with Fastpitch TV Network and can coordinate the stream of your event if you wish to have live streaming. If you are using video for training purposes (not live stream), you may video the games using a stand up/tri-pod camera not affixed to the backstop netting.

In the Cages

• No metal cleats in the batting tunnels

• Do not use any equipment that is not your own

• Notify PFX staff if any of the pitching screens have holes or are unsafe to use

Inside the Complex

• All persons entering the complex consent to our Liability Waiver by virtue of entering the Complex. You will indemnify and hold harmless PFX Athletics of any injury or damage arising out of your use of the complex.

• No smoking. Individuals who wish to smoke must leave the perimeter fence and smoke in the parking lot area.

• No tents on the concrete areas. Wagons may only be permitted if they are broken down once in the complex and stored under the spectators' seats.

• Authorized personnel only are permitted upstairs. This includes:

  • PFX Staff Members

  • Tournament Director

  • UIC

  • No children upstairs except for PFX staff families

• No cleats in the upstairs building.

• No outside alcohol is permitted. We have a licensed bartender and the insurance does not cover outside alcohol. 

• No shelled nuts; spitting or dropping of sunflower seed or peanut shells is prohibited

By entering the Complex, all individuals entering the Legends Way Ballfields (and any other complex used or reserved by PFX Athletics for the Event) agree to the terms of our Liability Waiver.

As a spectator or participant (RELEASOR) at Legends Way Ballfields, a softball facility located in Clermont, FL including practices, competitions, or related events and/or activities (the “Facility”), RELEASOR acknowledges, accepts, and agrees that:

1. There is a risk of injury and/or death from participating at the Facility as a participant, spectator or volunteer, and I understand that there is a potential related risk to me due to my presence at or near the Facility. I KNOWINGLY, FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUME AND ACCEPT ALL SUCH RISKS, BOTH KNOWN AND UNKNOWN, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASES (as hereinafter defined) or others, and accept and assume full risk, responsibility and liability for my participation at the Facility.

If I observe any unusual and/or significant hazards during my presence at the Facility , I will remove myself from the area that I perceive as a hazard and shall bring such hazard to the attention of the nearest Event official;

2. I, for myself and on behalf of my child(ren), heirs, assigns, personal representatives and/or next of kin, forever WAIVE, RELEASE, DISCHARGE and COVENANT NOT TO SUE, PFX ATHLETICS, INC.; THE CITY OF CLERMONT; LAKE SUMTER STATE COLLEGE OF FLORIDA; SOUTH LAKE HOSPITAL; LAKE COUNTY; and their officers, directors, representatives, officials, agents and/or employees, subsidiaries, and/or assigns, as well as their independent contractors, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, volunteers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of the premises used to conduct the Facility (collectively, the "Releasees"), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, SUITS COSTS, LIABILITY, DISABILITY, DEATH, and/or loss or damage to person or property, ARISING IN CONNECTION WITH MY PARTICIPATION AT THE FACILITY, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE.

I further agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Releasees from any loss, liability, cost, claim or damages arising from my participation in or association with activities and events organized and sponsored by the Releasees or connected with the Facilities, including but not limited to, reasonable attorneys fees;

3. My attendance at the Facility organized or sponsored by Releasees is entirely voluntary. I further certify and represent that on the date of the Event. I will possess and be covered by medical/health insurance, individually or as part of an organization.

4. I consent to administration of first aid and other medical treatment in the event of injury or illness at or in connection with the Facility and hereby release and indemnify Releasees from any and all liability or claims arising out of such treatment;

5. The Releasees reserve the right, in their sole determination, to postpone, cancel, or modify the Event at the Facility due to weather conditions or other factors beyond the control of the Releasees that might affect the health and/or safety of the participants, but Releasees are under no obligation to do so and I recognize that I, too, can make my own decision whether to stay or to participate in the Event;

6. I hereby grant permission to the Releasees to photograph, film, videotape and otherwise record the below named volunteer or spectator at and or connection with the Facility and subsequently to disseminate, telecast, reproduce and otherwise utilize the same for no charge or remuneration in whatever manner Releasees shall deem appropriate. Such permission shall include the unlimited right to make use of my name, nickname, image, likeness, voice, photograph, signature facsimile, and biographical information in connection with the Facility.

I acknowledge that Releasees and their representatives shall have the unlimited right throughout the world to copyright, use, reuse, publish, republish, broadcast and otherwise distribute all or any portion of the Facility in which I may appear on any and all radio, network, cable and local television programs and in any print materials and in any other format or media (including electronic media) now know or hereinafter devised in perpetuity without compensation to me. In consideration and in return for being allowed to participate in the Facility.

I release and agree not to sue the Releasees from all present and future claims regarding my name, image, or likeness from my participation in the Facility that may be made by me, my family, estate heirs, or assigns.

7. If I am a parent/guardian and allow my child/ward to enter Legends Way Ballfield (or any other complex where PFX Athletics is conducting business), I agree, on behalf of myself and my minor child/ward, to the terms of this Liability Waiver on behalf of my child(ren)/ward(s) to the fullest extent of the Law.

I recognize and understand that it is my responsibility, as the parent/guardian, to protect my child(ren)/ward(s) from all risks associated with my child(ren)/ward’s participation in the Event and that I will indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees described herein from any damage, injury, or death that may come to my child as a result of his or her participation in the Event at the Complex.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND MODEL RELEASE AGREEMENT, AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY PURCHASING A TICKET AND/OR ENTERING THE VENUE FOR THE Facility . I DO SO FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY.
